Q: A month ago we had a new shingle roof
put on our home. During the clean up process
some tar got on the vinyl siding. The roofers
tried to clean tar off with brake cleaner and
white gas, which only smeared the tar, leaving
large smudge marks. Is there a product I can
use to remove these ugly marks?
A: The product the roofers should have used is
contact cement thinner/solvent. Simply put on a
cloth and rub marked area, wash off siding once
you have removed tar. I would suggest the roofers
carry this in there vehicles as well.

Q: In our home we have old parquet flooring,
which over the years the finish has worn off it
and looks rather dull. Is there a product on the
market that would bring some life back to this

Q: I have an aluminium shingle Future Roof
that is black and approximately twenty years
old. The shingles are starting to oxidize and
lose their colour, what would be a good
cleaner and paint to fix this problem?
